To Our Community,
It is with considerable disappointment that we have canceled this evening’s I Love the 90’s event. Unfortunately, municipal representatives have chosen to place the owners of the event venue in the uncomfortable position of not being able to move forward with us.
The goal of this event was to bring a safe, unique, and leading-edge experience to our community and represent our industry in a way that sustainably moves it forward. We have been licensed by the Commonwealth since 2018; the 28th dispensary out of 387. We make our business decisions that are in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, and cannabis regulations. We are disheartened to learn the municipal stance on our event taking place at a private venue and property with a supportive host.
Since learning that we would not be able to proceed with the event last night, we have been in communication with all of our vendors and event partners. Additionally, we have begun the process to ensure that all ticket holders will be issued full refunds.
Operating in the cannabis industry provides unique challenges every day. While this one hit us hard, we are thankful for the incredible and enthusiastic support from our customers, staff, and industry partners. The support that Gage receives from these communities inspires us to continue our work towards cannabis normalization. Rather than being discouraged by this cancellation, we are encouraged to push forward to bigger and better things in the future.
For now, we are looking forward to taking a breath and celebrating our fourth anniversary of opening our doors at Gage this weekend and invite our community to stop in and say hello. We feel the love and look forward to seeing you soon!
